Update III: Staying Compliant with Title IX in a COVID-19 World

Every other week, ICS is hosting a complimentary webinar to assist colleges and universities in staying compliant with Title IX as they transition to distance learning. In this webinar, Courtney Bullard and Betsy Smith will provide detailed recommendations and implementation strategies on providing a fair and balanced approach to virtual investigations and adjudications. Topics are subject to change as the world continues to rapidly change in response to this situation. Recognizing and Responding to Stalking Under Title IX Webinar

Stalking in today’s world looks remarkably different than it did just a few years ago. With the use of social media, dating apps, and other tech resources, the opportunities for unwanted contact are limitless. In this webinar, we will focus on best practices for recognizing and responding to stalking in a manner that is compliant with your Title IX obligations. Additionally, we will provide direction related to safety planning and no contact directives to protect your campus community. Finally, we will discuss continued obligations related to stalking response in this evolving Covid-19 world.

In light of the travel restrictions that colleges and universities are currently facing, ICS is excited to offer our first ever VIRTUAL Title IX Investigator Training. This training will NOT be a webinar, but instead a “live” and interactive experience. The instructive sessions will include detailed information regarding investigative best practices, challenges faced by investigators, report and rational writing, and litigation trends resulting from investigations. Participants will also conduct multiple mock investigations with their peers to put the education into practice.
