Title IX in athletics continues to be one of the most closely scrutinized areas of compliance in both K-12 and higher education. This training provides a practical and comprehensive overview of athletics compliance, focusing on the requirements for participation, treatment, resources, and scholarships.
A central focus of this training is evaluating equity in both opportunities to play and the experience while playing. Participants will take a detailed look at the Three-Part Test used to assess participation equity and learn how to apply it to their own programs. The training also explores the student-athlete experience — including access to facilities, equipment, travel, coaching, and publicity — to ensure fair treatment across men’s and women’s programs.
Participants will also engage with emerging issues such as Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), equitable facilities, and the impact of shifting legislation and litigation on athletics programs. Real-world case studies and ICS’s extensive experience with athletics audits bring these concepts to life.
By the end of this course, participants will:

- Evaluate the student-athlete experience for equity in treatment and resources
- Gain access to resources and tools to begin assessing equity in their programs today
- Stay informed on current and future challenges
This course equips Title IX Coordinators, athletics administrators, and compliance leaders to proactively ensure fairness, compliance, and opportunity in athletics programs.
Registrants must be present for at least 80% of the duration of the training to receive a certificate of completion.
